	Strengthening the cooperation between local governments and citizens in Central BiH
	„Strengthening the cooperation between local governments and citizens in Central BiH“ project is continuation of planned activities within the 5-year program „Strengthening the cooperation between local governments and citizens“ implemented by NGO „Alternative“ Kakanj for the fourth year in a row. The project is financed by SIDA / The Olof Palme Center.

	Protection of cultural-historic monuments
	NGO „Alternative“ currently implements the project titled „Determining the state and initiating the protection of 176 cultural-historic monuments in Kakanj Municipality“. The objective of the project is to place under protection cultural-historic monuments from the medieval period currently located in Kakanj. Overall, this should contribute towards increasing the tourist offer of the municipality.

	Ecological youth camp „Bobovac 2008“
	Ecological youth camp „Bobovac 2008“ was held on 13th November 2008 at the excursion site Bukovica located at the foothill of the medieval town of Bobovac.

	The European week of local democracy marked in Kakanj
	Upon the invitation of the Association of municipalities and towns of Federation BiH sent to its members to provide support to the initiative of the Congress of local and regional governments and the Committee of local and regional democracy of the Council of Europe as well as to take part in the manifestation „The European local democracy week“ (ELDW), Kakanj Municipality granted NGO „Alternative“ a project of the same name.
