	International Day of Women Human Rights Defenders
.	Forum of women of SDP Kakanj, NGO „Alternative“ Kakanj, Association of women of Kakanj – UŽOK and Association of women demobilised members of armed forces of Kakanj muncipality organized a seminar focused on women human rights defenders and women human rights in general.
	Mr. Mensur Jašarspahić – Suri, the mayor of Kakanj and patron of the event, stressed in his introductory note that he would certainly support the initiative to include into the calendar of events of Kakanj municipality the campaign of „16 days of activism against gender-based violence“ as an event with important activities regarding increasing awareness about the problem of violence towards women. That the campaign activities managed to attract attention of the public was confirmed by phone calls received by organizers, by two organizations joining the campaign as well as by presence and active participation of a large number of women. 34 women took part in the seminar and workshop marking the International Day of Human Rights Defenders.
